Kevin Monaghan – set dancer and teacher from Basingstoke (UK). His father was part of a set that won the All Ireland Fleadh in 1993 in Clones, County Monaghan, dancing the Glencorrib Set. He and Carol Gannon started set dancing 12 years ago under leading Joe o´Hara at his weekly classes in Basingstoke. Joe very quickly put them dancing together as a pair and they have been dancing as a couple ever since. Kevin took over running weekly classes after Joe about 9 years ago. Kevin and Carol started ceilis in 2005 and ran first „Revival Weekend“ in 2008 with idea that we dance lots of unusual sets at ceilis, not just the „C“ sets (Cashel, Caledonian, Clare Lancers/Plain, Connemara etc.). They take great pleasure in getting forgotten sets re-established as part of the class and workshop circuit. They supported Joe and Janet O´Hara in Prague in 2008 and again 2010.
