ANTRIM SQUARE SET (en)

Set původně pochází z Austrálie a jeho autorem je Des Jackson ze Sydney. A protože je původem z hrabství Antrim, pojmenoval tento set podle tohoto hrabství. Slovo „square“ v názvu vyjadřuje skutečnost, že ve všech třech figurách setu se využívá figury, která je známá zejména v country tancích jako grand square. Popis tance je z knihy Pata Murphyho „Aplles in Winter“.

FIGURE 1: REEL (144 bars)

Introduction
1. All couples lead around holding both hands, each gent´s arm over the lady´s shoulder and turn clockwise on the spot without changing places, so that the gent´s left arm is now over the lady´s shoulder. He is still on the inside. (8 bars).
2. All couples lead back to home. (8 bars)
3. All couples, in waltz hold, swing in place. (8 bars)

1. Ladies join right hands in the centre and dance around, then turn, join left hands and dance back to place, facing their partners as they dance into place. (8 bars)
2. Gents join right hands in the centre and dance around, then turn, join left hands and dance back to place, facing their partners as they dance into place. (8 bars)
3. Top couples house around each other. (8 bars)
4. With the gents keeping their arms around the lady´s waist, top couples dance forward towards the couple on their right, then reverse into opposite positions and house back to home. (8 bars)
5. Square: Top couples now také their partner´s inside hand as side couples turn in to face their partners. Top couples advance to the centre as side couples reverse away from their partners to the corner (2 bars), then each top gen takes the opposite top lady´s hand and reverse into the side position left of his own (lady´s side) as the top ladies reverse into the side position right of their own (gent´s side), while side dancers turn on the corner and advance into top positions, the side lady to the top gent´s position and the side gent to top lady´s position (2 bars). Now the side lady and opposite side gent (in top positions) take inside hands, while the top gent and opposite top lady (in side positions) turn in to face each other. The side dancers in tops advance to the centre while the top dancers in sides reverse away from each other back to their own corners (2 bars). Finally, side dancers také their own partner´s inside hand in the centre and reverse back into their own places while top dancers advance to meet their own partners in their own places and touch hands (2 bars). (8 bars)
6. All repeat (5) with side couples advancing to the centre and tops reversing from each other to begin. (8 bars)
7. All couples swing in waltz hold. (8 bars)
8. All couples house around. (8 bars)
9. Repeat (3) to (9) with side couples dancing (3) and (4), then leading at (5) and (6). (48 bars)
